Our objective is to work with Business Owners and Non-Profit Organizations throughout the Columbia Basin to help strengthen their businesses. We provide free, one-to-one, confidential business counselling and assessment services to help identify issues and opportunities.
This may include an hour or two of bouncing ideas off one of our experienced Advisors, or it might mean extended Advisor time working with you to provide a written assessment of your business.
Common areas of support include:
- financial analysis;
- marketing;
- operations;
- business and strategic planning;
- human resources;
- competitive analysis;
- target market analysis;
- general business viability; and
- others.
Eligibility
To participate in the program, the business or social enterprise MUST be:
- a for-profit business that is actively conducting business and earning business income; or
- a non-profit society considering or operating a Social Enterprise; and headquartered in the Basin; and
- in compliance with all Canadian laws and regulations.
In order to be successful, the program requires the interest, commitment and time of the participating business owner. The owner must be willing to openly discuss business situations, disclose critical issues that impact the business and share confidential business financial information. Nondisclosure agreements will be used.
Following the completion of Advisor counselling and assessment services, the Advisor may recommend the services of a specialized independent business consultant to provide further analysis and recommendations on a specific area of business management. The BBA program provides a contribution to the cost of specialized business consulting services.
